Madison Elle Beer from Long Island, New York was an early lover of music. She began posting videos in 2012 of her performing renditions of popular songs. Justin Bieber, a pop star, saw her rendition of Etta's "At Last" within a couple of months, and shared it with his 25 million-plus followers on Twitter. The media attention that followed led her to a record contract with Island Records and a management arrangement with Bieber's manager following year. The same year, Beer was also cast in a small part in the film of independent filmmakers Louder Than Words, which starred David Duchovny and made its film festival premiere late in 2013. The debut single by Beer that was poppy and melismatic "Melodies," was released late in 2013. Her solo debut album As She Pleases in the year 2018. The lead single "Home with You", which reached the Top 30 in Norway, was also a huge success. The album made it to the top 10 on the Billboard 200. Beer also released the single "Hurts Like Hell", with Offset the was released in the same year.
